We are seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist. Our office is open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 7:30am-12pm. Applicant should be available to work Mondays 8am-6PM, Fridays 8AM-6PM, and Saturdays 7:30AM-12PM. They should also be willing to fill in shifts if needed. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a friendly personality and good communication skills.
Prior computer/typing experience required. Veterinary experience preferred but not required (we will train). Experience using ezyVet cloud software is a plus.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting clients and escorting clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Answering incoming phone calls and relaying information to
veterinarian as needed
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Taking medical history information from clients
- Making follow-up phone calls
- Filling prescriptions as approved by veterinarian
- Entering medical history and charges into ezyVet
- Creating treatment estimates and presenting them to clients
- Billing out clients and processing payments
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms and waiting room
- Educating clients and answering questions about husbandry,
preventative options, and products
- Occasional animal handling and restraint
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Must be compassionate and professional with our patients and
their owners

Highland Animal Hospital is a 2.5 doctor practice with a support staff of 23 including 4 technicians. We are a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Highland, Indiana just a 25 minute drive to The Dunes National Lakeshore and a 40 minute drive to the Chicago Loop. We primarily provide care for dogs and cats. If you have an interest in exotic and/or avian medicine there is an established clientele that would be yours to care for if you desire. Our hospital is equipped with IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, surgical laser, digital radiology, dental radiology, Ezyvet Software, tonometry, blood pressure unit, and surgical suite.
One of our full time veterinarians is relocating to Colorado so their spouse can pursue a job opportunity. We are seeking a full time veterinarian to fill that vacancy. A veterinarian with experience is preferred, but a new graduate would definitely be welcomed.
Because we do no retail sales, the highly professional and experienced staff are concerned strictly with the care of the pets and the concerns of their owners.
